Psalm 62:1-12

62
Chapter 62
To the director, on Jeduthun. A psalm of David. 1 My soul is silent only to God; from him comes my salvation. 2 Only he is my rock and my salvation, my high place; I will not be greatly shaken. 3 How long will you assault a man, all of you? You murder him like a leaning wall, a pushed-over fence. 4 They only plot his overthrow; they delight in lies from his mouth; they bless with their mouth but curse inwardly—Selah. 5 Be silent to God alone, my soul, for from him comes my hope. 6 He alone is my rock and my salvation, my high place; I will not be shaken. 7 On God is my salvation and my glory; the Rock of my strength. My refuge is in God. 8 Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your heart before him. God is a refuge for us. Selah. 9 The sons of Adam are only vapor; the sons of man are a lie. In balances they go up altogether lighter than vapor. 10 Do not trust in oppression and in robbery; do not become senseless. If wealth sprouts up, do not set your heart on it. 11 One thing I have heard: God has declared that power belongs to God. 12 And you, Lord, are lovingkindness, for you repay a man according to his deed.
